FLCCT’s Advisory Council provides guidance to the Board of Directors and represents voices in our community.

Sonia Coyle is a County Extension Agent with the Family and Consumer Sciences, working for over ten years in Travis County in the area of nutrition and health education, early literacy and parenting programs. Her experience includes working as a Program Manager for AVANCE, Inc. and Keep It Healthy, and as a Nutrition Educator for Capital Area Food Bank and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services-WIC program. She holds a Master’s degree of Science in Education from Baylor University and is a Registered Dietitian from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.
Betty is a vice-president at Frost Bank. She has volunteered with FLCCT since its inception and has served on the Board of Directors in the past. She is a highly skilled financial literacy teacher and brings deep experience to the FLCCT advisory council.
Michael is a past president of FLCCT and a strong advocate of financial literacy.
Suzanne is extensively involved with Austin non-profit organizations and brings insight into all of Austin’s diverse communities.
Sandra is a past member of the FLCCT Board of Directors, financial literacy teacher, and a long-time women’s advocate.
Bob Sandera has been a member of the FLCCT since 2007, having served on the Board of Directors as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President, as well as its Executive Director overseeing day-to-day operations.  Now retired, he continues to maintain his connections to the Austin financial education community, instruct FLCCT classes, and contribute to the Advisory Council.
Kristina is part of IBC bank’s Financial Literacy team, teaching youths and adults about the importance of saving to create a financial independent future. She has been instrumental in developing a visionary elementary school children’s program that mirrors a full-functioning real-life community. Kristina earned a bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Marketing from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX.
