Michael Helferich joined the FLCCT Board in 2017. Michael is a business operations professional with a keen focus on end results. After 20+ years in management and business & technology consulting, Michael left corporate life to focus full time on real estate. He currently serves in the role of VP and COO for a small real estate investment company located in Austin, TX and a licensed real estate agent in the Austin area focused on residential sales. His success has allowed him to give back. He is passionate about the future of his community, and volunteers for a local NPO promoting health & human services for people living with HIV & AIDS as well as serving as a volunteer instructor for FLCCT. Michael is married and lives in Austin, TX.

Mark Tibbs joined the board in 2018. He has been a long time volunteer who taught and managed the CHANCE (Youth – 18 – 24) and VETs programs at the Travis county jail since 2016.

Mark has completed the Certified Financial Planner program (CFP) through UT and he also volunteers at another local non profit that provides numerous services including personal financial coaching.  Mark, who is happily retired now, has worked in the tech industry where he held numerous roles – functional (engineering and sales), management, and strategic / executive planning.  He was also an Officer in the US Air Force where he had leadership roles all over the world – including Central America, the Middle East, and the Pentagon. e-mail Mark: Mtibbs@flcct.org

 

Matthew joined the FLCCT Board in the spring of 2017 to lead the volunteer training program. His work as a financial adviser at Reliant Wealth Management gives him an appreciation for people’s needs to understand personal money management. Matthew brings a good background in business strategy, accounting, and not-for-profit organizations to FLCCT. Debbie is a native Austinite and has worked in the student lending and financial aid industry since 1986. She has worked for Brazos Higher Education in many capacities since 1989. Her experience includes managing loan origination & servicing operations, systems and web development, compliance, business development and client relations. She currently serves as VP & National Customer & School Relations Director at Brazos. Debbie has an MBA from Concordia University and is currently working on her Certified Financial Planner certification.  Debbie is a passionate volunteer and likes helping students and parents plan and pay for college. She is an avid sports fan…she loves her Longhorns, Cowboys and Rangers! Spending time with her sweetie, her family and all her four-legged babies are what make her smile.

Gregg  joined the FLCCT Board in 2017. He has served on the Executive Management teams of various banks going back until 1976. This banking background includes management responsibilities covering all the operational, HR,
compliance and accounting areas of banks including the data processing functions. At this time, he serves as the COO of Horizon Bank in Austin, TX. Cecily Panetta grew up in Round Rock, TX and graduated from Round Rock High School. She has worked in the banking industry since 1996 in the Round Rock/Cedar Park area. Cecily joined FLCCT as a volunteer instructor in 2016 and most recently joined our board of directors bringing her enthusiastic energy and banking experience to our organization. Through her tenure, she is looking forward to making an impact in any way that she can and she is excited to spend time with the FLCCT family. Executive Director – Lourdes G. Zuniga

Lourdes is a journalist and holds a BS degree in Communications. She worked in several newspapers and PR firms in Lima, Peru. Because of her work in politics and Social Issues she has always been involved in philanthropic causes. After moving to the USA, she has published as a freelance writer for the newspaper Ahora Si! and also worked as a Hotel Management Consultant. Lourdes started to volunteer at a young age and in Austin she has served as a Board Member for local non profits and organizations including Seton Hospitals where she was Editor in Chief of Brackenridge newsletter and People’s Community Clinic where she served as Vice Chair. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and when not writing she spends her free time traveling and dining out.
